For switches and other electrical signals where the current is too low for the Signal IO board to trigger the input, you can plug this IO board into up to 3 inputs on a signal IO board to resolve this problem.
1. Connect 5V to the Signal Amplifier board (+ and GND)
2. Connect the GND for your game to the 5V GND
3. Connect one side of the switch to Input 1, 2, or 3 screw-terminal. If one side of the switch doesn't work properly (input is always on), try the other side.
4. Connect the 2-pin JST cable to the desired input on the Signal IO board.
Tested with Stern Spike3 switches. Should work with any low current switches.
NOTE: Ensure your IO board has an input resistor value of about 680 ohm to 1.2k ohm. You can buy Signal IO boards with the desired resistor values or install your own resistors.
